  1. Wash sofra basmati rice and drain well.
  2. Put the pot on the stove and add tablespoon of butter or oil if desired.
  3. Add the rice then add salt and stir well .
  4. Add 2ΒΌ cupes of water and stir (the rice may require slightly more water to cook depending on required rice texture).
  5. Then cover the pot and leave it from 20 to 25 minutes over low heat until the rice absorbs all the water and becomes well cooked.
  6. Leave pot covered post-cooking for a resting period of 10 minutes, then serve .
